Terms for the Free Beta and a summary of the planned paid-license model.
Last updated: September 14, 2026.
The beta is free. Purchasing is not open. No payment or subscription is created by using this website or downloading a Free Beta. Paid terms, the payment seller and final totals will be shown before any future order.
Who provides Nexus
Nexus MAM is owned and operated by Luminocity AG. These website terms describe the current beta. A download may include build-specific license terms and notices; review them before installing. Mandatory rights under applicable law are not limited by this summary.
Free-beta license
The Free Beta remains usable until one week after the paid release. The paid release date has not been announced, so there is no fixed beta end date yet. There is no automatic charge. Joining the notification list does not commit you to a purchase.
The beta has no paid feature or Worker/team-count limits. Hardware, storage, supported platforms and third-party requirements still apply. Beta upgrades are intended to preserve data; make a backup before upgrading. We will publish the paid-release date and transition instructions when confirmed.
Luminocity AG grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use the supplied beta build for your own internal evaluation and media workflow. You may let members of your organization use it for that purpose. You may not sell, rent, sublicense, publicly redistribute, bypass access or security controls, or use the software to infringe another person's rights. Restrictions on reverse engineering apply only to the extent permitted by mandatory law.
Build availability and support details accompany each download. The post-beta release will be paid; joining the beta notification list does not authorize a payment. No right to source code, future features, a stable release or every future platform is granted.
Your systems, media and third-party software
You remain responsible for permission to use the media, storage, accounts and systems you connect. Keep verified backups of source media, the Nexus library and generated files before installation, upgrades or removal. Nexus is not a backup service. Use only a build that lists your operating system, architecture, Resolve edition/version and required third-party licenses as supported.
DaVinci Resolve, codecs, models and other third-party components remain subject to their own terms. Product names are used to describe compatibility and do not imply sponsorship. Build-specific open-source notices and source offers accompany the release where required.
Third-party components and notices
Nexus uses third-party software for media processing, Resolve integration and interface fonts. Those components retain their own licenses and attribution requirements.
Components identified in the 0.10.5 test packages
- Windows Coordinator and Worker: FFmpeg, ffprobe and shared codec libraries are included for media processing. The matching license, build and source information is still being verified for these packages.
- Windows and Mac Resolve plugins: the Workflow Integration module connects Nexus to Resolve. DaVinci Resolve Studio is required separately. The plugin also includes Inter font assets and their license file.
- BRAW: the supplied Coordinator and Worker packages do not include the Nexus BRAW decoder or Blackmagic RAW runtime. Do not use these packages for a BRAW workflow.
The complete build-specific notices and required source information are not yet finalized. This component summary does not replace the licenses included with the software or establish that these packages are cleared for public distribution.
Keep the license and notice files supplied with each package. For a license or attribution question, contact Nexus and include the package name and version.
Beta risk, support and security
Beta software may contain defects, change, lose compatibility or be withdrawn from distribution. Do not rely on it as your only copy of media, metadata or a time-critical production path. Beta support is best effort and has no availability or resolution SLA. Bug, license/payment and security reports remain welcome regardless of future update coverage.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Free Beta is supplied as available and without promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose. Luminocity AG does not exclude liability or customer rights that cannot legally be excluded. The final limitation-of-liability wording remains subject to the law that applies to you and any build-specific accepted terms.
Future paid licenses, updates and refunds
Paid pricing, the license model and Worker allowances are not final; beta allowances are not a promise of paid allowances. Under the planned paid entitlement, received versions remain licensed for use; included updates and normal email support last 12 months. A later update pass is optional, has no automatic renewal and does not charge for skipped years. Security maintenance and compatibility have their own declared lifecycle and are not promised forever.
No refund applies to the Free Beta because no payment is taken. Before purchasing opens, the checkout will identify the Merchant of Record or other payment seller and display the final price, tax, payment terms, refund/withdrawal process, license terms and mandatory customer remedies. A payment provider's transaction terms do not replace Luminocity AG's product license and support responsibilities.
About the beta and paid release →Ending use, changes and applicable law
You may stop using and uninstall the beta. Follow the maintenance guidance and confirm the procedure for your exact build before changing an existing installation. Luminocity AG may end rights for a material breach after any remedy required by law. Updated terms apply prospectively from their stated date; material paid-license changes must follow the accepted contract rather than silently rewriting an existing entitlement.
Swiss law governs these terms, excluding conflict-of-law rules, while mandatory consumer protections and jurisdiction rights remain unaffected. Contact hello@nexusmam.com before using Nexus if a term or release condition is unclear.
